I hope you have all read the very excellent write-up from Georg. (There is even a video as well as several pictures of my very shy self.)

Well, the next post will be all about the Perrier Typewriter Museum and the grumpy but affable Jacques. There will be many pictures of his fine collection (typewriter pr0n at its best)!

  1. Road trip or soap opera? Can't wait for the next episode. Layer by layer. Love it... and Georg's video, well, inspired!

  3. Haha - if you can describe a studio 44 as "hulking" you don't have enough serious iron in your collection.
You two look like you're really having fun! I'm jealous of that Rooy for sure. How is it to type on?

  4. @ notagain: I would say the Rooy is functional and perfectly fine for short texts - you would not want to do NANOWRIMO on it, though. As with many portables this size, it's an eye-catcher, and good for travel purpose, but at home I would use a standard machine or middle-size portable. The great moment with the Rooy is setting is up, because the machine is mounted on top of the hood and then it's ready to type - an ingenious design.
