Here are links to the posts from Richard, Robert, and Peter.

  1. It's good the virtual type-in went well. Seems like Google+ is not to dependable. I may get around to playing with it and skype sometime. Problem is with some of that; I refuse to run Windows. Then I could resort to a VM on top of Linux.

I like the typewriter. What model?

Lettera 32 typewriters seem plentiful in the USA also.

    1. Bill, this typewriter is a Rooy. You can see the previous posts I've written on it if you click the Rooy label under the picture/ in the list of categories at right.

  2. Ok, I want that skirt! (says the one-time theater major in costuming and design) ;-) Thanks for the Type-In report - glad to hear you are in conversation with the dress designer.

  3. I've always been drawn to your flat-model Rooy, such a beauty. Have you had frequent sightings of it in Geneva? It can't be too common.

    1. Ton, I've never seen another one of these in the wild, and even this one we chanced upon online and have never seen another since! Rooys are really quite rare outside of France, as you may have noticed from the high prices QWERTY Rooys fetch on eBay. This is the only QWERTZ Rooy I have ever seen, too.

In France they are - not quite commonplace but relatively plentiful - on the classifieds sites. However, the AZERTY keyboard is a turn-off.

  4. I will be very interested to know how things turn out with your dialogue with the designer. Would you accept one of her dresses in trade?

    1. We're working towards something along those lines, Cameron. She is being very nice and open about it, so we should come to an agreement fairly soon and I shall write about it here.
